Reno Madness!

So renovations have been progressing really really well. I am beyond pleased with the work that's happened so far. It's starting to look like a real apartment!All the electrical is done, walls were taken down, closets fixed, new lights installed and plumbing updated for a washer/dryer hookup.

I went to Ikea last night to purchase the cabinets (in Adel White, in case you were thinking) which are so freaking awesome. They should be arriving next Friday. Appliances are arriving 4 days after on the following Tuesday.

While I have a washer/dryer hookup, I'm going to wait a few months before I purchase them. For one, I need to get actual furniture for my place and second, they are damned expensive! At any rate, the place looks amazing. It's still a little surreal but in a few short weeks I will be living in my own little piece of Brooklyn. Below are some pictures of the renovation. You can see a lot of the work is almost done! The last picture is just a view from the street to my two living room windows. The dude on the ladder is the guy who is getting it all done...my hero, my visionary, the man that knows it all!
